The shoes are the easy part
Chinese brands build racers that stand up to anything from Nike or Adidas — their national teams race in them. Getting a pair to your door in Canada, in the right size, without gambling on a listing you can't read, is the hard part.
What we sell
Carbon-plated road racers from Chinese brands with little or no retail presence in North America — Xtep, ANTA, Li-Ning, Do-Win and others. Every model is checked against its own spec sheet and independent reviews before it goes up, and the shop is the current list. This page deliberately does not name a lineup, because it would be wrong within a month.
We would rather carry a short list we can price honestly, with sources for every spec, than a long one we cannot. Some of these brands do sell in North America now, through Amazon or their own storefronts. We list them anyway, and the test is the only one that matters to you: a shoe goes up only when buying it here costs less than buying it there. When that stops being true, it comes off.
Why it is hard to do yourself
You can order these yourself, and sometimes it works out. The usual failure is not fraud — it is sizing. These brands label in millimetres, every one of them labels differently, and the conversion charts floating around the internet are mostly wrong. We have watched a reseller's chart put a shoe a size and a half out.
The other failure is the listing itself. Two shops selling the same model at the same price are not the same bet: one has thousands of orders and a returns record, the other has eleven sales and a dispute rate the platform flags in red. Telling them apart takes reading Chinese and knowing what to look for.
What we actually do
- We use the brand's own size chart. Not a rule of thumb, not a half size up. Where a brand publishes a chart we read your size straight off it, and where one does not exist yet we do a plain millimetre conversion and say so on the page. Nothing is added to the number you are given.
- We check the seller, not just the shoe. Sales volume, dispute rate, whether the shop authenticates before dispatch. Shoes we would like to sell sit on the bench because nobody trustworthy is selling them yet.
- We're honest about what this is. There is no Canadian warehouse. Orders ship from the supplier's own listing and take 10 to 15 business days to reach you. What we add is the checking and the sizing, not a shelf.
- Duty and brokerage, covered. Neither is included in the price and most parcels arrive without a bill for either. If yours is charged, send us the receipt and we e-transfer both back to you. Returns are handled case by case rather than through a guaranteed domestic address — see Terms.
